Periplaneta fuliginosa - Smoky Brown Cockroach

First identify the cockroach by the head shield, body color, wings and locality. The American cockroach, smokybrown cockroach and Florida woods cockroach are different animals despite sharing this informal label in some areas.

Outdoor visitor or indoor infestation?

A large cockroach entering from outdoors calls for a different investigation from reproducing German cockroaches in a kitchen. Note where it was found and whether young cockroaches recur.
