Identification and Appearance
Holotype The type locality per the labels of the type specimens is Devils Riv. TX. Per Kramer : Devils River is mainly in Val Verde County, Texas, which borders Mexico on the south. It appears likely that this is where Bishop, Pratt, and Schwartz collected the type series. Kramer also states: There is some possibility that this new species is B. westwoodi (Stål), described from Mexico. But the original description is too vague to establish the matter with certainty, and the type is no longer extant which precludes restudy.
